The worms go in, the worms come out

If you read my blog you’ll know that a couple of days ago we order a pet waste wormery. And with fabulous customer service from Wormcity it was delivered today! It was really easy to set up and the worms seemed pretty happy once they came out of the bag. All we have to do now is wait a couple of weeks, hope not to many worms attempt an escape before they decide it should be their home. We’ll keep you update on their progress!

What to do with Poo?

A couple of weeks ago my partner and I started discussing alternatives to disposing of all the waste Kira produces. When you buy a dog you don’t think about how much poo one dog can produce…it’s a lot. Anyway, currently we have been bagging and throwing it away. If we’re out on a walk we take our biodegradable bags with […]

Photo Challenge: Liquid

I’ve been thinking about this weeks photo challenge for a few day; liquid. Kira loves playing in water, whether it’s down at the beach, in a river or just playing with the hose in the garden. But one of my favourite photos is from our trip to see my Nana down near Bournemouth. We were so lucky with the weather that […]

To Spay or Not to Spay?

When we first got Kira back in July we really weren’t sure if we would get her spayed. I mean she was so sweet and cute and fluffy who wouldn’t want to fill the world with more of her? However, we did know that realisically we only had a very small window in which it would be viable for us […]

Photo challenge: Place in the world

This weeks photo challenge is an interesting one: “Where’s your safe space? Where do you go when you need to feel inspired or cheered up?” because for me that isn’t a particular place but more of an activity with the right people and a beautiful background definitely helps. Taking Kira out for a walk (normally with Al) always makes me; […]

Down among the bluebells

I love this time of year. The trees are blossoming, the weather is (in theory) get warmer, our walks are (again in theory) getting less muddy and best of all the flowers are coming out. One of my favourite things to go and see are the bluebells. And this year I finally have a dog to go and walk through […]

So for her birthday we decided to treat her! For breakfast she got some of her favourite frozen treats – True Instrint […]

7 days of happiness

Recently I’ve been reading lots of blogs about focusing on your happiness rather than focusing on the negatives and also lots on why dogs make life better (Some things don’t changed) and (Best Therapist) It made me thinking about if I could identify 1 thing each day this week about Kira that made my life a little brighter. Monday: watching […]

Sit, Stay…No stay!

Kira’s life on social media started with her dogstagram account @kira_gsd_superpup. Personally, I think she’s beautiful and who wouldn’t want to look at pictures of her all the time! But I was aware that perhaps not everyone felt the same way, so to save my friendships on facebook so I started her dogstagram. However, I am not a photographer and […]
